Abstract.
The article deals with communicative and pragmatic norm by the example of the German criminal code, namely norms on fines. The paper analyses the text and emphasizes that such texts possess special set of linguistic means concerning its grammar and lexical arrangement. Using such means the norms fulfill their communicative and pragmatic function in society.
