PAROEMIAS NOMINATING LINGUOCULTURAL CONCEPT “WINE” IN THE ENGLISH AND FRENCH CULTURES

Abstract.
The article considers the phraseological nominations of the linguocultural concept “wine” by the example of sayings and aphorisms of the British and French writers, poets and artists. The author pays particular attention to the fact that in the French and English linguistic cultures wine is both a value and a concept, embodying the culturally distinguished verbalized meaning. Outlining the linguo-culturological specificity of aphorisms and sayings about wine, the author illustrates the features of the national character of the English and French culture-bearers.
