Abstract.
The article considers cliché transformations in the speech regardless of their basic feature - capability to be reproduced ready-for-use. The author indicates that under cliché transformation both the plane of expression and the plane of content are transformed, consequently the identification and differentiation between the “invariant” and “variants” of stable cliché may become problematic.
