USINSK TUVINIANS’ LINGUISTIC WORLDVIEW: ETHNO-LINGUISTIC ASPECT

Abstract.
The article describes the results of scientific expedition to study the language, folklore and culture of a small group of ethnic Tuvinians residing in Verkhneusinskoe village of Krasnoyarsk region. The culture of this ethnic group was not previously investigated. The analysis of the acquired material indicates that nowadays Usinsk Tuvinians’ native language is at the risk of extinction. Though certain traditions and customs, small genres of oral folklore preserved the older generation can’t transfer them to the youngsters. The young people communicate only in Russian since the native Tuvinian language is not studied at school as a special discipline.
