Abstract.
The article is devoted to the issues of the structural and word-formative analysis of Avar agroonyms, which are considered on the basis of the toponymic material of the territory where the forms of the northern dialect of the Avar language are spread. The paper shows interrelation of word-formation and semantics of agroonyms. The identification of their features of toponym formation is important for the characteristic of both the toponymic and lexical-semantic systems of these dialects.
