GALLICISMS IN THE ENGLISH POLITICAL AND BUSINESS DISCOURSE

Abstract. The development of socio-economic and linguocultural contacts leads to the internationalization of vocabulary. The article analyzes the scientific experience of studying the phenomenon of French borrowings in the contemporary English language. The authors consider the causes of gallicisms appearance, the nature and extent of their changes, the basic semantic types of French borrowings by the example of political and business discourse.
