Abstract.
The article presents the research results of the compositional semantics of English phrasal verbs with mental meaning with the particles away and aside . Special attention is focused on the mechanism of formation of phrasal verbs semantics as the interaction of conceptual structures of the verb and the particle. With this purpose the author analyzes the features of both the verbal component and the particle, determines the nature of the interaction between the conceptual structures of the verb and particle in the composition of complex sign.
