Abstract.
The article presents an analysis of the discursive features of the English phrasal verbs with mental meaning. The paper studies the influence of semantics of phrasal verb components on the explication of propositional structure of the whole complex sign in discourse. Particular attention is paid to the role of verbal component in predetermining the categories of semantic actants.
