SOCIO-LINGUISTIC CONDITIONALITY AS TRANSLATOLOGICALLY SIGNIFICANT FACTOR

Abstract.
By the example of the national-specific designations of the ministries and ministers of Great Britain and the United States and their translations in primary cognitive media texts the article addresses the issue of what impact their sociolinguistic conditionality has on the translation of analogs-culturonyms of the British and American variants of the English language. The author substantiates the thesis that this conditionality is a translatologically significant factor: in the process of the translation of the considered lexical units there is a need to explicate background information about the state affiliation, indicated by the pragmatic additions.
