ON SPECIFICITY OF SEMIO-SPHERE OF THE MODERN RUSSIAN NOVEL

Abstract.
The article examines the issues related to novel genre origin. The author analyzes the history of the problem, describes the different approaches to this subject. Relying on the works by Y. Lotman, N. G. Leites, V. Kozhinov the paper emphasizes the well-motivated necessity to study this philological category, identifies the typological nucleus of the modern novels, and describes the semio-sphere of novel texts by A. Rubanov, Y. Polyakov.
