THE WAYS OF VERBALIZATION OF ANCIENT CULT OF THE TREE IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE ADYGHES’ FOLKLORE

Abstract.
The article considers the ancient cult of a tree among the Adyghes to identify different ways of its verbalization in the language of folklore and to show the worship of the Adyghes’ worldview in different stages of development. The author identifies the various language units (formulas, phrases, and stylistic figures) used for the representation of functions of the tree in the language of folklore. It is determined that different poetic and prose works and children’s folklore are devoted to the tree, therefore the subject of the study is the work “The Song of the Tree”. It is concluded that the Adyghes from early childhood instill respect for the natural environment through folklore.
