ON THE WAYS OF LANGUAGE ARRANGEMENT OF THE MINIMUM UNIT OF HYPERTEXT

Abstract.
The main content of the study is an analysis of the features of hypotexts, the main building elements of hypertext. The paper characterizes differences in perception and understanding of linear text and hypertext. Formal criteria for identifying the minimum unit of hypertext are considered. The author investigates a hypertext to the novel “Three Comrades” by E. M. Remarque, determines the size of its minimal unit and reveals the most common way of the structural schematization of hypertext. Particular attention is paid to the linguistic arrangement of the hypotext.
