LU XUN’S NOVELLA “THE TRUE STORY OF AH Q” (1921): POETIC STYLE AND PROBLEMS

Abstract.
The article deals with the poetic style and problems of the novella “The True Story of Ah Q”. It is an innovative work for the new Chinese literature written by the classic of the Chinese literature Lu Xun. Analyzing the genre peculiarity, the problems of the novella, the image of the protagonist and the logic of the plot development, as well as the chronotope, the features of narration, language and style, the author comes to the conclusion about the national and universal significance of the famous work of Lu Xun who created a new tradition in the modern Chinese literature of the beginning of the XXth century.
