THE ANALYSIS OF THE LEXICON OF NIKOLENKA IRTENEV - THE MAIN CHARACTER OF LEO TOLSTOY’S NOVEL “CHILDHOOD”

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the lexicon of Nikolenka Irtenev who is the main character of Leo Tolstoy’s novel “Childhood”. At different stages of the study the following linguistic methods were used: 1) method of theoretical research; 2) contextual analysis; 3) method of describing the linguistic personality on the basis of the generally recognized three-level model of linguistic personality; 4) statistical method. The result of the research is the possibility of using the accumulated material for the further development of the theory of linguistic personality.
