Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the development of the dynamics of men’s names list of the residents of Prokopievsk who were born in 1996-1998. The analysis of the study includes acquaintance with the composition of personal names (taking into account their list and belonging to a certain national group, language differentiation, and semantic aspect). The comparison of the data of the names list in different chronological periods, consideration of the frequency of their use, revealing both the internal laws of the fashion for names and extralinguistic reasons (for example, a certain orientation of the interests of the cultural life of the society) is carried out.
