Abstract. The article is devoted to Tarik Dzhemal Kutlu’s life and work, who was a writer, a publicist, and an interpreter of the Chechen abroad. Tarik Kutlu’s creative work is of great interest for the Russian literary criticism, since it is the first time that it has become the object of research and is being introduced into scientific circulation. The article makes an attempt to analyze some works and translations by Tarik Kutlu, which are in author’s personal archive, and also were published in Turkey in separate editions, and in the magazine “Kuzei of the Caucasus - the North Caucasus”.
