Abstract.
In the article for the first time the secondary representation of the precedential statement (PS) “Russia cannot be understood with the mind alone” in the newspaper discourse (by the material of the newspaper subcorpus of the Russian National Corpus) is considered, the grammatical and semantic structure of PS is described, the subject of mental action is projected onto the opposition “one’s own-somebody else’s”. The semantic and structural-semantic methods of transforming the source of PS, the cognitive semantic and evaluation features of PS, objectified in the newspaper discourse, are analyzed.
