THEMATIC TABOOS IN THE ENGLISH LINGUOCULTURE

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the comprehensive study of thematic taboos by the example of the English linguistic and cultural community. By the material of the British cinema of the XXI century the dialogues in which the violation of thematic taboos is clearly expressed and causes a negative reaction of the addressees are analyzed. The author singles out and proves by examples a number of thematic taboos. The importance of observing thematic taboos is emphasized, as this allows making communication successful, and their violation leads to communication failures and public censure.
