Abstract.
The article presents an overview analysis of the evolution of the Kabardian song art by the material of poetic texts of famous poets, set to music in different periods of the development of the national poetry. The author focuses on the works of one of the talented Kabardian poets Anatolii Bitsuev, in particular on the text of the popular song “The snow falls ...”. Three vocal variants of this song are considered in the article, its significance in the evolution of the national song culture is determined.
