Abstract. The article is devoted to the relevant problem of studying the language of modern publicistics: the authors focus on the level the analysis and description of which lies beyond the scope of modern linguists’ scientific inquiry - syntactical one. As a source of linguistic material the authors use regional printed edition the language of which represents the basic tendencies typical for the syntax of whole modern publicistics. The paper identifies both the features traditionally distinguished while describing a publicistic text and the new ones indicating that the language of modern publicistics can be considered a special phenomenon.
