Abstract.
This article is devoted to the study of the social-political thesaurus of the Tatar language. The development of the social-political thesaurus of the Tatar language makes it possible to reveal the specificity of the functioning of the lexis of the specified thematic group at the present stage of the language development. Thanks to the increased interest in the study of socially meaningful layers of vocabulary and terminology lexical doublets of social-political vocabulary are selected as the object of this scientific work. In the course of the work the peculiarities of using and translating these units are determined.
