KHORY BURYATS’ IDENTIFICATION PRACTICE: LOCAL FOLKLORIC AND GENEALOGICAL TRADITION

Abstract.
The article considers the problems of oral folklore’s regionalism, focuses on developing scientific conception of folklore’s local ethnic and territorial nature as a necessary provision, form and way of its modern functioning. The study aims to develop new research discourse, the subject of reflection. The author examines the modern state and development of Khory Buryats’ folkloric and genealogical tradition in the context of their identification practice and concludes that Khory Buryats’ folkloric and genealogical conceptions structure them as ethno-social group, represent their ethno-genetic integrity.
