THE TATAR HEROIC FAIRY TALE

Abstract.
The article studies the problems of the genre singularity of the heroic fairy tales of the Tatar people, which are close in their content and structure to the works of the folk epic and occupy an intermediate position between fairy tales and heroic epic. The purpose of the research is to introduce into scientific use the Tatar heroic fairy tale as a genre variety of the Tatar fairy tale, to determine its place in the genre system of the Tatar folklore. The plot structure, main motifs, images, artistic features of the Tatar heroic fairy tale are analyzed in the paper.
