FOLK PHRASEOLOGY IN THE MODERN INTERPRETATION: ON LEXICOGRAPHIC DESCRIPTION CONCEPTION

Abstract.
The article introduces the conception to represent modern transformations of phraseologisms in the new lexicographic project of phraseological seminar developed by Professor V. M. Mokienko (Saint Petersburg University). The author examines the types of structural-semantic transformations and the range of semantic variation of the folkloric phraseologism “butter mountains and wine lakes”, emphasizes sociocultural determination of transformations. The paper introduces the principles to develop dictionary entry. The example of a dictionary entry illustrates the realization of lexicographic conception.
