SEMANTIC CHARACTERISTICS OF LANDSCAPE DESCRIPTIONS IN THE ENGLISH LITERARY TEXT (BY THE EXAMPLE OF JACK LONDON’S NOVEL “WHITE FANG”)

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the semantic features of the landscape description in the English literary text by the example of the adventure novel by Jack London “White Fang”. Using the method of graphosemantic modeling, the author singles out and analyzes the most significant semantic fields. As a result of the analysis, for the first time the semantic dominants of landscape descriptions in the work under study are identified and the role of the semantic elements that make up the dominant fields is determined.
