Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying grammaticalized lexico-syntactical constructions of the Spanish verbs of motion with the participle, infinitive and gerund by the material of the novel by Miguel de Unamuno “Niebla” (“The Mist”). The author examines semantic peculiarities of using constructions with the verbs of motion in literary texts. The paper analyzes lexico-semantic variants of verbs of motion in the different syntactic constructions, identifies the growing frequency of using gerund and the diversity of its syntactic functions in a literary work.
