METHODS OF RUSSIAN XENONYMS NOMINATION IN IRIS MURDOCH’S PROSE FICTION

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the methods of introducing the lexical units expressing the elements of another culture into the text of the work of fiction. The distinctive features of xenonyms are revealed, the classification of the linguistic techniques of their incorporation into the text according to V. V. Kabakchi is given. The author focuses on the methods of nominating the elements of the Russian culture used in the novels of British writer Iris Murdoch. The Russian xenonyms contribute to the creation of artistic images in the works of the novelist, and convey the national colour.
