BASIC PECULIARITIES OF BATH TEXT OF ENGLISH LITERATURE

Abstract. The article discovers the main peculiarities of Bath text of English literature which can be considered one of the basic super-texts of Anglo-Saxon culture. The key mythologeme of this super-text is associated with paradise city in which everything is dedicated to the idea of rest. Super-textual worldview of Bath text is formed by the concepts BATH, WATER, LODGINGS, STREET.
