VERBAL AND NON-VERBAL WAYS OF REPRESENTATION OF THE EMOTION OF FEAR IN THE ENGLISH LITERARY DISCOURSE

Abstract.
The article is devoted to the description of verbal and non-verbal ways of actualizing the emotion of fear. The paper presents the results of the analysis of the representation of the emotion under study within the framework of a literary discourse. Particular attention is paid to the description of the kinesic means of transmitting the emotional state. It is concluded that they play the leading role in the manifestation of emotion. In the course of the study of the literary discourse, it is emphasized that the totality of linguistic and non-linguistic means used by the writer is effective in conveying the emotional state of fear.
