COMPARISONS IN THE KALMYKS’ COLLOQUIAL SPEECH

Abstract.
The given article is devoted to the analysis of comparisons fixed by the author in the Kalmyks’ colloquial speech. As an illustrative material the article for the first time uses verbal samples in the Kalmyk language and the speech of the Kalmyks by nationality in Russian; the paper also presents some equivalents from the Russian language. The author concludes that in the process of the identification of the national and cultural specificity of comparisons the deep influence of the Russian language on the modern Kalmyk language, namely, on its colloquial form, can be traced.
