Abstract.
The article is devoted to the questions of a structural and word-formative analysis of the Avar microtoponyms, considered by the toponymic material of the territory of dialects distribution of the Avar language northern vernacular. The author shows the peculiarities of compounding by the material of toponyms, the identification of which is important for the characterization of both the toponymic and, in general, lexical and semantic system of these dialects. It allows one to see the peculiarity of the Avar toponymic vocabulary.
