PUNCTUATION AND GRAPHICAL ARRANGEMENT OF CHECHEN-LANGUAGE INTERNET COMMUNICATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing the peculiarities of punctuation and graphical arrangement of Chechen-language Internet communication. The author examines the most frequent for Internet communication punctuation marks, such as dots, unpaired brackets. Special attention is paid to the usage of capital letters for accentuating the statement. The paper considers emotional-expressive usage of punctuation and graphical means, their communicative potential in the Internet discourse. Summarizing the research findings the author emphasizes that changes in punctuation and graphical arrangement of the text are conditioned by communicants’ need for emotional-expressive self-expression.
