Abstract.
The article gives a brief overview of the topic “Territorial Dialects of the Russian Language. Dialectical Vocabulary” in the scientific and methodological aspect. The authors substantiate the expediency of its inclusion in the content of the course “The Russian Language and Speech Culture” for students of non-philological specialties. Recommendations on the main theoretical issues in the field of dialectology, as well as options for practical tasks and exercises related to the use of dialectal language material are presented. The paper gives examples from the authors’ working experience at the Department of the Russian Language of the humanities faculties of Novosibirsk State Technical University.
