ACTUAL TENDENCIES OF THE MODERN CHINESE NAMING

Abstract.
The article describes the basic tendencies of naming from the date of proclaiming the People’s Republic of China. Using statistical data of the Institute of Linguistics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Computer and Information Technologies of Shanxi University the authors examine popular names and their components according to the periods; identify their historical and social determination. The paper provides the results of the survey conducted during internship in the city of Harbin (The People’s Republic of China). The study focuses on analyzing the modern state of the Chinese anthroponymical fund by the example of Heilongjiang province, provides a comparison of children’s names popular in the 1990s and in 2016.
