Abstract.
The article presents the comparative analysis of the texts of English and Russian blogs. The chosen area of the research - Internet communication and blog - is dynamically evolving and has a significant impact on the development of the language, that is why it is of great interest to researchers. The comparison of English and Russian blogs allows the author to come to the following conclusions: bloggers are active in using various means of expressiveness; English-speaking users choose simplified grammatical constructions, typical of the colloquial style of speech; Russian-speaking users with the help of loan words from the English language create a large number of neologisms.
