Abstract.
It is not possible to study any dialect properly if it is not considered in historical, geographical, cultural, and linguistic contexts. Therefore, the research of the Kinki dialect cannot be conducted outside the context of the entire Japanese language, and in particular, the analysis of the peculiarities of the grammatical structures of various dialects of the Kinki region. The article presents a part of the research conducted by the authors in Japan by the material of the authentic Japanese dialogues through the comparative analysis of the grammatical systems of individual dialects functioning in the Kinki region of the island of Honshu.
