Abstract.
The paper aims to analyse the basic means to form terms-eponyms in the English-language medical terminology. Using the structural analysis method, the authors identify the most productive means of the eponymic medical term formation. As a result of the study, five means to form terms-eponyms in the English-language professional medical terminology are identified. The findings indicate that non-permanent usage of possessive case in the English-language eponymic medical term serves as the basic means to form terms-eponyms.
