Abstract.
The aim of the study is to identify the morphoderivative potentialities of the anthroponym Пётр, implemented in the onomasticon of Kuban, by the example of otonomastic derivatives. The scientific origi-nality is due to the correction of the author’s family of words for surnames of the inhabitants from the Krasnodar Territory with the peak Пётр by attracting new onomastic material; using linguo-geographical, structural and family-of-words` building approaches. As a result, the data have been obtained that testify to the family of words of surnames from Пётр as a top of the macro-family of the regional scale; to the historically established fixation of the Ukrainian surnames in Kuban. Other types of derived onyms are not numerous and do not violate the established nominative traditions.
