The theme of childhood in the polyphony of the author and the hero based on the novel by T. Hardy "Jude the Inconspicuous"

Abstract.
The article examines the artistic forms of the category "the image of the author" based on T. Hardy's novel "Jude the Inconspicuous". The purpose of the work is to identify the signs of the author's idiosyncrasy, reflecting the correlation of the image of the hero with the image of the author as a biographical personality. The scientific novelty of the work consists in recognizing traces of the expression of the author's image through the speech characteristics of the characters; the little-studied problem of identifying dominants as value attitudes of the motivational level of a linguistic personality is touched upon: for the first time, the material of the study of the theme of childhood presented in the novel "Jude the Inconspicuous" is introduced into scientific circulation. The results of the analysis showed an implicit expression of the author's presence through the speech and thoughts of the characters, reflecting the experience of the fundamental scientific knowledge of the author himself. The characterization of the main character is realized through artistic forms of speech, including expressive and evaluative vocabulary, syntax and non-verbal language. The author's idiosyncrasy reflects a high educational level in the artistic embodiment of his own philosophy on the example of the theme of dysfunctional childhood. The ideological content of the novel is a poetic expression of the beliefs of T. Gardi on education and career, love and marriage, the power of folk wisdom and the role of art in human destiny.
