Features of the functioning of formulaic organizing markers of argumentation in German and Russian scientific texts in a comparative aspect

Abstract.
The aim of the study is to establish the range of meanings and features of the logical-pragmatic classes of formulaic organizing markers of argumentation in German and Russian scientific texts, also in quantitative terms. The article presents a definition of a formulaic marker of argumentation and conducts a comparative analysis of the use of these units in German and Russian scientific texts. The scientific novelty of the research lies in introducing the concept of formulaic marker of argumentation into scientific discourse, in identifying classes and distinctive features of markers that are essential for the organization of German and Russian scientific texts in cognitive sciences. As a result, a foundation is created for the subsequent classification of formulaic markers of argumentation based on previously unexplored material. The article highlights German and Russian examples of the functioning of organizing formulaic markers of argumentation in three classes: “generalization”, “repeated reference to the subject of discussion”, and “reference to someone else’s opinion”, in a comparative perspective.
