Personification as a means of emotiveness in N. Abgaryan’s ethno-component literary text

Abstract.
The aim of this research is to determine the role of personification in creating emotiveness in a literary text containing an ethnic component that differs from the language of the literary work, as well as the methods and techniques of expressing the emotive background of Narine Abgaryan’s novel “Three Apples Fell From the Sky”, in particular, the metaphorical personification of natural objects. The emotiveness of the text is determined by its entire emotive background or emotive tonality. The emotive means in Abgaryan’s text are primarily determined by her own emotional reactions as the author, but are aimed at the recipient’s perception of these emotions. The Armenian national worldview is described by means of the Russian language, and two national-mental worldviews are combined: the Armenian world in its details and actions, and the Russian world as a means of its representation. The article examines the phenomenon of personification used by Abgaryan, which reflects a persistent tendency to verbalize emotions through figurative means. It is in this that the emotional-sensory perception of the surrounding world, characteristic of Armenians, is expressed. The scientific novelty of the research is determined by the fact that, for the first time, anthropomorphic metaphors, in particular personification, are defined as a means of emotiveness in a text of the ethno-component type. The study found that the technique of personification creates a special emotive background of the novel, immersing not only the characters, but also the reader-addressee in a living world, where the actions and feelings of natural objects and phenomena, as well as abstract ideas, are saturated with emotions aimed at evoking an equally emotional response from the perceiver of the literary text.
