Abstract. The research aims to identify strictly dental terms in both Kabardian and English. The study reveals the structural mechanisms of models containing the somatic element “дзэ” / “tooth”, taking into account the functioning of the analyzed lexemes at various linguistic levels. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that, for the first time, a range of lexemes with the status of dental terms has been identified based on a comparative analysis of factual material in Kabardian and English. In the examined languages with differing structures, models containing the somatism “дзэ” / “tooth” are provided with structural-semantic characterization. The study highlights similarities and differences in their functioning and, where possible, considers the sphere of usage and the degree of productivity of the analyzed lexemes. The results indicate a large number of models containing the somatic element “дзэ” / “tooth” in both Kabardian and English. It was established that in the Kabardian language, these models function at the lexical and morphological levels. In contrast, in English, professional dental terms are predominantly of Greco-Latin origin, characterized by clear definitions and a restricted sphere of application.
