ETHNIC IMAGES OF THE WORLD IN FICTION TRANSLATION PROCESS

Abstract. The article is devoted to translation problems, which are connected with original text meaning change while giving it by means of another language. Translation is considered as the interaction of the ethnic images of the world of the text author and its translator. By the material of fiction texts an attempt is made to show to what extent original text and translation differentiate, to fix and analyze text parts having mismatches. Special attention is paid to text delacunization by the translator while translating.
