PROPER NAMES SEMANTICS REFLECTION IN ANTHROPONYMICAL ENGLISH DICTIONARIES

Abstract. This article examines the problem of the English anthroponyms meaning and lexical meaning reflection in anthroponymical dictionaries. The author reveals the main points of view on the personal name semantics issue, substantiates her opinion and presents the research results proving that the anthroponym has a meaning different from the common name meaning both qualitatively and quantitatively. The analysis of lexical meaning reflection ways in anthroponymical dictionaries is given .
