TOMOGRAMS QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN THE ABSENCE OF ETALON

Abstract. This article proposes a method for assessing the quality of magnetic resonance tomograms in the absence of etalon images, shows the dependence of assessment results on the methodology used in scanning. The possibility of assessing the quality of tomograms on the basis of the parameters of scanning protocol, the built distribution of signal intensities and the fractal analysis of images is analyzed. The proposed method is tested on brain tomograms obtained with different equipment, the results are compared with expert (visual) assessment.
