SUBJECT-CONCEPTUAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE ENGLISH ONE-WORD AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY TERMS

Abstract. This work deals with the subject-conceptual classification of the English one-word automotive industry terms. When describing the considered terms at extra-linguistic level their facet classification based on the criteria of semantic generalization degree, application areas and their distribution in general technical categories is carried out. The hierarchical relationships of these names within general technical categories are studied. Generic and partitive relations between the one-word terms of "automotive language" are identified. The inter-categorial relationships of the analyzed names are established.
