ROLE OF THEATRICALITY IN MAKING PARTICULAR CHARACTER IN CREATIVE WORK OF I. I. SOSNITSKY

Maidanova Marina Nikolaevna
Russian Institute of Art History

Abstract. The article studies the role of theatricality as a means of identifying acting beginning in the behaviour of the character and, therefore, as a means of the specification (individualization, typification) of his character. The inclusion of theatricality, which is possible in life, in the structure of the specific character allows changing the structure of the stage image: the schematic image based on the theatrical character gives place to the image created on the basis of the individual life and artistic experience of the actor. It finds the fullest expression in the creative work of the major actor of the first half of the XIX century - Ivan Sosnitsky.
