HUMANITY AS HUMAN QUALITY IN PHILOSOPHICAL ANTHROPOLOGY OF DAVID HUME

Abstract. The article considers the views of David Hume on the problem of humanity in the context of friendship, love, respect, enlightenment, virtue, social security and other components of public relations. The author emphasizes that, while not denying the existence of the inhuman qualities of character, whether it is laziness, stupidity, jealousy and some others, the philosopher still remained faithful to the idea of the origin of society on humanistic principles. The system of the perceptions (senses) of human mind developed by D. Hume is revealed, according to which the philosopher singled out two categories of perceptions: strong (impressions) and weak (ideas).
