SELF-DEFENCE IN WATER "AQUATHLON" AS AN ELEMENT OF TRAINING EMPLOYEES OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS BODIES OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Abstract. The article discusses the problem of the efficient use of the holds of self-defence and the detention of the criminal in aquatic environment and, consequently, the necessity to study and introduce into educational process the elements of self-defence in water. The authors analyze the modern types of wrestling "Aquathlon", "hand-to-hand fight in water", "knife fight in water" and the possibility to use them by police officers in their official duty.
