VALUE AND IDEOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF YOUNG PEOPLE’S COMPUTER GAME ADDICTION

Abstract. The article discusses the problem of computer game influence on young people’s consciousness in the context of the specifics of their value and ideological sphere. The paper concludes that the games considered by the society as safe ones can develop positive qualities and skills among young people. However, even safe games cause damage generating painful dependence on them, if from a tool they become an end in itself. The authors show that the key provision to form computer game addiction as a type of Internet-addiction is underdevelopment of the human’s spiritual world , the primitiveness of his/her life values, ideals, beliefs and principles. The main instrument to overcome computer game addiction is development of young people’s value and ideological sphere.
